The Enterprise Europe Network has set up the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry to support small and medium-sized enterprises. The network's services cover the following areas:

  • international business cooperation,
  • innovation, knowledge and technology transfer,
  • access to finance.

With 600 centers in more than 50 European countries and around 4,000 experienced professionals connected in a single network, the Enterprise Europe Network is the largest network in the European Union in providing expertise and services to companies, universities, research organizations, technology centers and other business and innovation institutions.

In Slovenia, the Enterprise Europe Network is present in a consortium of seven partners:

  • Jo┼żef Stefan Institute,
  • University of Maribor,
  • Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia,
  • Chamber of Craft and Entrepreneurship of Slovenia,
  • Maribor Development Agency,
  • University of Primorska,
  • Public Agency of the Republic of Slovenia for the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Internationalization, Foreign Investments and Technology - SPIRIT Slovenia.
