The invention relates to a device and method for measuring the relationship between force, velocity, and power during human locomotion under both unloaded and overloaded conditions.
The system is based on an innovative hydraulic mechanism that generates a controlled resistance while simultaneously measuring the resulting force through an integrated pressure sensor. By combining force and velocity measurements, the device enables detailed biomechanical analysis and the determination of key performance parameters, including the force–velocity–power profile, maximal force, maximal velocity, and maximal power output.
The invention further incorporates an electric motor for assisted locomotion and an electronic data acquisition module capable of collecting and transmitting measurements in real time. Owing to its lightweight and portable design, the device is suitable for field-based sports testing, performance monitoring, rehabilitation, and advanced athletic training applications.
