The University of Primorska is one of the project partners participating in the UNIK@TT project. The public call for funding is implemented under the 2021–2027 Programme, Policy Objective 1: A more competitive and smarter Europe by promoting innovative and smart economic transformation and regional ICT connectivity; Priority 1: Innovative Knowledge Society; Specific Objective 1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies.
The University of Primorska, together with its consortium partners, the University of Ljubljana and the University of Maribor, submitted a joint proposal under the call entitled “Consortium of University Offices for Strengthening Knowledge Transfer Support Capacity (UNIK@TT)”, which was successfully selected for funding.
The aim of the Consortium of University Offices for Strengthening Knowledge Transfer Support Capacity (UNIK@TT) is to strengthen, empower, and connect the existing Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs), thereby actively contributing to the establishment of an efficient, dynamic, and well-functioning Slovenian innovation ecosystem. The consortium will enhance research and innovation capacities and facilitate the transfer of knowledge to industry through various mechanisms, including research and development contracts, licensing, spin-offs, and other forms of knowledge transfer. By increasing the societal impact of research, the project will support the successful commercialisation of advanced technologies, knowledge, and other research results.
The project is co-funded by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The total funding allocated to the project amounts to EUR 2,150,000.00, of which: European Union contribution: EUR 1,276,025.00 and Republic of Slovenia contribution: EUR 873,975.00
