The invention relates to a floor element for improving acoustic insulation in horizontal building structures, particularly for reducing the transmission of impact sound. The solution is based on an insulation layer comprising lignocellulosic elements, preferably wooden slats, arranged in a specific geometrical configuration.
Under mechanical loading, the slats undergo elastic deformation through bending, acting as spring-like elements that reduce the transmission of vibrations to the surrounding structure. The element may further comprise a base plate, spacers, and displacement limiters to ensure sufficient load-bearing capacity and prevent permanent deformation.
The invention provides a sustainable alternative to conventional impact sound insulation layers based on mineral wool or polymer materials and enables the use of renewable materials in building applications.
