We offer you a set of great tools that can help you develop your business idea

Business planning

Business planning is essential when you have an idea and want to check whether it is also a business opportunity. You can see how to test an idea and prepare a first draft of a lean business model at Work Lean.

One of the first steps is to prepare a quick and transparent business model (canvas) that allows us to test the idea step by step. The business modelling canvas structures our planning through 9 sections linked to 4 areas, covering customers, offer, infrastructure and financial sustainability. The canvas business model with all the step-by-step instructions can be prepared for free using the MIKROBIZ online tool.

The business plan further provides a more detailed structure and is therefore suitable for more financially complex investments or for companies planning to invest in productive assets or real estate. A more detailed business plan can also be prepared using the MIKROBIZ online tool.

Dynamic development of brands

Building a brand coincides with a company’s successful image and growth. The MIKROBIZ tool helps you understand, plan and implement a brand that will deliver a unique customer experience and further grow your business.

festINNO

FestINNO is an annual regional cross-border event for the presentation, networking and design of broader entrepreneurial activities, a meeting point for academia, business, the interested public and policy makers in support of entrepreneurship, organised by the Department of Entrepreneurship at the Faculty of Management, University of Primorska. FestINNO takes place every year in May and offers a wealth of interesting, interactive workshops covering the topics of entrepreneurship and innovation. As part of festINNO, the INNOchallenge competition takes place, where groups of students compete with their business ideas.

We offer you a great opportunity to develop your business idea with us and test it with experienced entrepreneurs. Are you familiar with the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme?

Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs

The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme is a European Commission programme that offers prospective and new entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn from an experienced entrepreneur running a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) in one of the participating countries. It facilitates the exchange of experience between prospective/new and experienced entrepreneurs, facilitates access to new markets and the search for potential business partners, improves networking between entrepreneurs, allows experienced entrepreneurs to establish new business contacts and learn more about opportunities in another EU country. The programme provides prospective and young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to attend and co-finance 1-6 months of training. New entrepreneurs gain and exchange knowledge and business ideas with an experienced entrepreneur they are working with and collaborating with. The exchange is part-funded by the European Commission.

The Centre for Development and Knowledge Transfere is the local contact point for the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme, helping you to get involved in the programme and guiding you through the procedures from application to training.
